Privacy & data
Pact stores the minimum needed to run your pact. No advertising, no tracking, no third-party analytics scripts.
What we store
- Your email address — used only to send pact-related emails: join confirmations, daily reminders, and completion notices. Never sold or shared.
- Your display name — shown to your pact partner and used in your artwork’s labels.
- Your timezone — used to schedule reminder emails at a sensible local hour.
- Check-in timestamps — recorded as a day index, not a clock time. These are what grow the artwork.
- Anonymous analytics events — pact created, joined, checked in, completed. No personal information in these records, no IP addresses, no session identifiers.
Reminder emails are sent via Brevo. Every email contains an unsubscribe link that lets you opt out of further reminders without deleting your account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account using the form at the bottom of this page. Deletion removes your email address, display name, and all check-in records.
The shared artwork stays live permanently — it’s a permanent URL you and your partner both have. After deletion, your side of the artwork goes dark (your check-ins are removed), but the URL remains. This is intentional: the record of the collaboration belongs to both people, not just you.
Permanent records can’t be deleted. If you checked in at least once, your display name and check-in count become part of a permanent public record on the blockchain that can’t be removed, even by deleting your account.
Cookies
One cookie: ps, a session token that identifies your participant record. It’s how you check in without a password. It’s HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. No advertising cookies, no third-party cookies.

Delete my account
This permanently removes your email address, display name, and all your check-in records. Your pacts’ organisms stay live but your side goes dark — the shared record belongs to both participants. This cannot be undone.
